The best zucchini bread ever – studded with chocolate chips and swirled with chocolate halvah tahini spread
Hey Hey Everyone! Truth: I always loved the idea of zucchini bread, but was never wow’ed by it. I got carrot cake, banana bread, hummingbird cake, but zucchini bread was always kind of meh to me. Until NOW! This zucchini bread is truly summer zucchini at their peak. It’s like they’re fulfilling their actual destiny here! Soft, moist (eeeee sorry!), sweet cake with a tender crumb, and just the right amount of chocolate!
This week I tried some insanely delicious Chocolate Sweet Tahini Halva Spread and I couldn’t wait to bake with it! Like any self respecting Israeli, my love for tahini (ground sesame paste) runs very deep, but then sweetening it up and adding chocolate?! It’s just perfect. I marble the Chocolate Halvah Spread into the top of the zucchini bread just before it goes into the oven. Then, after I slice it, I love to drizzle a little more on my piece. You guys have to try it!
I’m going to keep this short and sweet today, because…Monday, but there is one thing that is SUPER important when you make this zucchini bread: you HAVE to squeeze the hell out of the grated zucchini to try to get as much moisture out as possible.
Make this one while the summer zucchini gettin’ is good! Tag me in your pics because I truly love seeing what recipes from the blog you guys are into #lionsbread @lionsbread !
Happy Monday everyone! Let’s do this!
